+friday night flashback: a tribe called quest+

Not long ago at the office a coworker and I were rapping various dope rhymes from the 90s, and inevitably we started in on this song. A true old school classic, this video features a stick figure doing the running man, at least one high top fade, and the incomparable Q-Tip, an MC who is impossible to hate and much beloved by all of us who cherish the music of the Native Tongue Family. Watch it. Bob your head to the groove. And don’t forget your wallet.

“I Left My Wallet in El Segundo” by A Tribe Called Quest, from the album People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm (1990).
